Tim is originally from Napier, a place he fondly describes as full of sunshine and warmth.
He moved to Wellington in the early 1990s to study and has never left. Tim holds a postgraduate Diploma in Human Resources and is currently completing a Master’s in Applied Management through SIT, with his final report well underway.
Before joining Care on Call in early October 2025, Tim spent four years as a School Manager at Victoria University and previously worked in healthcare at Access Health and Healthcare NZ. He also has experience as a Team Manager at ACC.
Tim is married with two adult children. His daughter, like many Wellington youth, now lives in Melbourne, while his 22-year-old son lives at home. Their household also includes an elderly small dog and three cats; one of whom adopted the family rather than the other way around.
He enjoys the caring aspect of his work and, though it may sound cliché, appreciates that every day is different. Tim has been impressed by the motivated, intelligent team he has joined and by how automated the systems are, particularly the rosters and applications.
Study takes up a fair amount of Tim’s spare time, and he also makes a point of exercising regularly. He jokes about his daughter once saying, “All the time you spend outside and the yard never looks any better.” Weekend outdoor work keeps him busy too.
